Today’s run drawing “Run 1.23.13”. I also did some stair runs and other strength/power stuff while at the oval, which gave me an excuse to add small details in the red ink. In yesterday’s painting, I used the map of my neighborhood as a grid. I did that again in this drawing.
A small painting today. The red ink lines are some of my most common running and walking routes in my neighborhood. It’s gouache, watercolor, ink, and pencil on cardboard.
Post-run drawing: “Run 1.21.13”
“Run 1.18.13” Today’s post run drawing.
In this piece, I’m using the grid as an excuse to push around some paint and work with color.
Today’s drawing, “Run 1.14.13”
Today’s drawing, “Run 1.11.13”
“Swim 1.10.13” The day’s drawing done while thinking of my swim two mornings ago.
Today’s drawing in gouache, watercolor, ink, pencil, and metalpoint.
Today’s drawing/watercolor is using yesterday’s run data, only this time I didn’t include the actual metrics as elements of the piece. I’m interested in the numbers as a typographical/compositional element, and I’m not sure how I feel about the piece without them yet.
