I bought myself some tulips and when I placed them in a water vase, the way they jostled for position with each other was so pretty that I had to make a painting. So I placed them in my studio and made a painting playing with colors and shapes and lines and trying to figure out how much I could simplify these flowers and still get the effect I wanted. And then I added some drawings of our parked cars because I could see them from my studio window, so why not put them in there?

This is an original oil painting, signed on the front and hand labeled on the back by the artist. It is painted on a hardwood panel. The panel is made of basswood and is braced with a basswood cradle. This type of painting support has been valued since the 14th century for its strength and smooth surface.

The sides are painted white and it is 1.5 inch thick. It comes wired and ready to hang.
